Marc entered a family apparel business and had profit and loss responsibility for 7 locations each producing $1mm in revenue annually. He managed buying and operations in each location.
He then took a position with Brooks as regional manager for the Southern region consisting of 5 states, 52 locations and $40mm in annual revenue. This region went from last to first in profits and revenue growth in the company in 4 years while he was regional manager. He then opened his own chain of Women's apparel stores based in Cleveland and built these to $10mm in annual revenue.
When he left the stores, he became a retail consultant and then began independent practice consulting with specialty retailers.
He and Evan Wise built Management One® into an international organization of independent affiliates servicing hundreds of small to midsize businesses. Today he leads and manages the retail merchandise planning for Management One®.
Grew up in retail in a family menswear business and later became an engineer and manager in the paper industry after getting his BS degree from Miami University (OH) and an MBA from the University of North Florida. Evan ran operations at a paper mill with St Regis Paper Co. and Jacksonville Kraft Paper Co. in Jacksonville Florida and later led the World Research Center for Jefferson Smurfit in Chicago.
Evan brought his management and engineering expertise to Management One® to help develop Winning@Retail™. Winning@Retail is a sophisticated merchandise-planning program that boasts outstanding forecasting accuracy in predicting future demand.
Evan manages the Management One® operation and oversees the 75 retail experts affiliated with Management One®.
Over the past 25 years, Evan and Marc have built Management One® into an international source for retail prosperity.
